One is an esoteric Straussian, the other went to Yale

"America has never been united by blood or birth or soil. We are bound by ideals that move us beyond our backgrounds, lift us above our interests and teach us what it means to be citizens. Every child must be taught these principles. Every citizen must uphold them; and every immigrant, by embracing these ideals, makes our country more, not less, American." - George W. Bush

"America is not only for the whites , but it is for all. Who is the America? The American is you, me and that. When we go to America we will become Americans and there is no a race or nationalism called America and the Americans are those Africans, Indians, Chinese, and Europeans and whoever goes to America will become American...American is for all of us and the whole world had made and created America. All the people all over the world had made America and it shall accordingly be for all of us. I will never feel ashamed when I claim for my right in America and it will not be strange when I raise my voice in America." - Col. Moammar Gadhafi

The Colonel's observation that "The American is you, me and that" is a perfect slogan for the 'Proposition Nation' adherents, don't you think?

  1. Interesting...you pulled that comment out of such a long anti-American rant, whose intent as far as I could figure was that the American Blacks must support African Blacks in every way possible (preferably by sending money to the United States of Africa) in much the same way as the Colonel feels the Jews in America are sending money and political influence to support Israel.
It is interesting how he conveniently forgets that centuries ago, the Arabs (the Colonel's ancestors) hauled Blacks of all nations to the beaches and sent them away as slaves, even mentioning the "Roots" movie as if it were history instead of a work of fiction.
Now, lets see...who would head up this United States of Africa...could it be...oh here it is...why the Colonel offers to be its president. Now there's a surprise. And what else....he goes through several types of possible kinds of governments of the member states, and comes up with the notion that his own state is a fine role model of how a country is to be run! A telling point is that any limitations on his term of office is of course not acceptable.
Now lets see...imagine a country in Africa which would be made up of American Blacks returning to their "roots". Such a country would be democratic, English speaking of course, and a role model to be emulated by all peoples in Africa. This land of liberty, they could call it Liberia. Oh wait, somebody already thought of that! Clearly a player on the world stage!

  2. I've always wondered why the Colonel never promoted himself to General. It's not like anyone could stop him.
